PPSC chairman hangs up boots

PATIALA:The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), chairman, Lt Gen Narinder Pal Singh Hira, retired from the service today.

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), chairman, Lt Gen Narinder Pal Singh Hira, retired from the service today. He worked as a chairman for two years and seven months.

Lt Gen Hira said the PPSC has carried out selection on 3,007 posts of direct entry into Group A and Group B officers in the Punjab Government along with conducting written test for another 880 posts. 

He said the selection process in the PPSC has been made strong to ensure that only best candidates get selected.  “The PPSC has reached a level where there is no difference in the standard of examinations and interviews between the UPSC and  PPSC anymore,” he said.
