Profs seek implementation of 7th Pay Commission

PATIALA:Over 200 professors associated with the Punjabi University Teachers’ Association (PUTA), Government Colleges Teachers Association and Punjab Agriculture Teachers’ Association, Ludhiana, today held a protest outside the Vice-Chancellor’s (VC) office for implementation of 7th Pay Commission.

Patiala, December 4

Over 200 professors associated with the Punjabi University Teachers’ Association (PUTA), Government Colleges Teachers Association and Punjab Agriculture Teachers’ Association, Ludhiana, today held a protest outside the Vice-Chancellor’s (VC) office for implementation of 7th Pay Commission.

Dr Jaswinder Singh Brar, president, PUTA, said the state government should implement guidelines of 7th Pay Commission at the earliest.

The protesters said, “Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh are the only areas where recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission have not been implemented.”
