Water supply to be hit in Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH:Water supply will be affected in the city due to repairs at the Kajauli waterworks on June 18 and 19.

Water supply will be affected in the city due to repairs at the Kajauli waterworks on June 18 and 19. “Owing to urgent repair of the 66KV substation at the Kajauli waterworks by Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on Monday from 9 am to 3 pm, there will be no pumping of water from Kajauli to Chandigarh during that period. The water supply timings for the whole of the city will be affected,” said an MC official.

According to the MC, morning water supply will be normal at full pressure on June 18 while in the evening there will be low pressure from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. On June 19, morning supply will be at low pressure from 3 am to 8:30 am. In the evening, normal supply will continue. There will be a cut for half an hour in water supply on both days. —TNS
