Chandigarh: The UT Sports Department will organise trials to select the civil services swimming squad at the Sector 23 all-weather swimming pool on February 21.

Chandigarh: The UT Sports Department will organise trials to select the civil services swimming squad at the Sector 23 all-weather swimming pool on February 21. The selected squad will participate in the All-India Civil Services Swimming Championship to be held in Pune from March 29 to 31. The department will also organise trials to select the wrestling team at the Sector 42 sports complex on February 20 (5pm). The selected squad will participate in the All-India Civil Services Wrestling Championship in Chandigarh from March 13 to 17.

Sports meet concludes 

Chandigarh: St. Xavier’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, organised annual sports meet. Various events like relay race, save the tree race and obstacle races were organised. Students of classes I to XI participated in the sack race, newspaper dress race, filling the water with sponge race, open the knot race, balloon race, flat race, balancing race and bamboo racebamboo races were organised. —tns
