BJP workers across the city today held demonstrations at offices and residences of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs to protest against the “autocratic, anarchic and corrupt governance” by Arvind Kejriwal government which has stalled development work and pushed the city into an administrative crisis.

The demonstrators held a prayer meeting outside Birla Mandir in the New Delhi Assembly constituency, represented by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, for getting divine help in persuading the Chief Minister to open an office in his constituency as today people have to travel long distance to contact him.

People elected the Arvind Kejriwal government with a hope of better and changed polity but today they are shocked to see the rampant corruption and nepotism of the MLAs they elected. They dejected to see the government violating the constitutional provisions laid by Baba Saheb Ambedkar in the governance, the demonstrators said.

BJP state president Manoj Tiwari said, “Like the people of Delhi I am too shocked to know the real reason behind assault on the Chief Secretary, Anshu Prakash, by the team of Arvind Kejriwal at a late evening meeting called by the Chief Minister at his residence. In the meeting the government wanted approval for an advertisement claiming that almost 80 per cent corruption has ended in Delhi.”

He said, “We can understand the anxiety of the Kejriwal government for running a false anti-corruption campaign as its public image stands tainted with several ministers, including Satyendra Jain, involved in dubious financial deeds and relatives of the Chief Minister involved in bogus bill scams.”
