If the police patrolling gypsy is not safe in the city, how could your car be safe here?

In a recent incident, a car thief stole a police gypsy. He was later arrested though in connection with other auto theft cases.

A gypsy of the Quick Response Team of the Tughlaq Road Police Station was stolen from Kotla Mubarakpur on August 5.

Later, while the police patrolling Tughlakabad Village, personnel spotted the stolen gypsy parked in the area and seized it.

According to a senior police officer, CCTV camera footages were checked and human intelligence was gathered. Ajay (32), a resident of Tughlaq Lane jhuggi, was arrested in this connection.

At his instance, one Swift and one Honda City stolen from Defence Colony and Mandir Marg, respectively, have been recovered. It also came to light that Ajay is previously involved in two cases, one case of the Arms Act and the other of theft, said the DCP (South District).
