School principal stabs youth, held

A private school principal has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a person at the Mansa Devi Complex (MDC) market here on Sunday night.

A private school principal has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a person at the Mansa Devi Complex (MDC) market here on Sunday night.

The accused has been identified as Chander Parkash, a resident of Mani Majra and the principal of a private school in Kishangarh village.

The incident reportedly took place at 11 pm when Manjeet Singh (22), a resident of Mani Majra, allegedly had a heated argument with the accused as the latter was using foul language at a high pitch.

The police said the victim’s friends shifted him to the GMSH, Sector 16, from where he was referred to the PGIMER.

Following a complaint in this regard, the police arrested the culprit.

During investigation, the police received another complaint against Chander Parkash. Teachers at the school alleged that he had been teasing them. “Some shopkeepers in the market have identified the stabbing accused,” said Charanjit Singh, the SHO of Mani Majra police station.

Two booked for assault

Meanwhile, in another such incident, Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Mauli complex, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing Mohammad Maliyad Ansari, also a resident of Mauli Jagran. The incident took place when Ansari was on his way back home.

Two persons stopped him and demanded his purse. When he refused to do the bidding, the duo attacked him with sharp-edged weapons, the victim stated in his complaint.

Acting on the complaint, the police have arrested Kuldeep while his accomplice, identified as Gaanji, is absconding.

The duo have been booked under Section 392 of the IPC.
