Chandigarh, June 18

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has put on hold admissions to diploma courses at Thapar Polytechnic College, Patiala.

The move comes after the Punjab State Board of Technical Education (PSBTE) withdrew the no-objection certificate to the college for running the courses.

The college authorities have moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court against the PSBTE.

The AICTE has stopped the admission process and referred the matter to an appellate committee which is listed for June 21. — TNS
