Chandigarh, December 25

With the mercury falling further, residents continue to remain indoors. While you keep yourself warm and take extra care during the winters, don’t forget to look after your pet too.

Dog experts have shared some basic tips for managing the lifestyle of pets to keep them healthy. Experts said the pets should not be made to wear clothes as it dries their skin.

“The bodies of pets, particularly dogs, are naturally equipped to adapt with environmental changes. Putting on clothes can lead to excess warming and dryness of the skin of the pet,” said Dr MR Singla, in-change of Pet Medical Centre, Panchkula.

Pets should be kept away from artificial warming available in the form of blowers and heaters, Dr Singla said.
