Free medicines distributed at medical camp

SRINAGAR: A medical awareness and screening camp was organised by the Directorate of Lifelong Learning (DLL), University of Kashmir, in collaboration with the Department of Endocrinology, All India Institute of Medical sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, Department of Gastroenterology.

Srinagar, December 19

A medical awareness and screening camp was organised by the Directorate of Lifelong Learning (DLL), University of Kashmir, in collaboration with the Department of Endocrinology, All India Institute of Medical sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, Department of Gastroenterology, Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar, and Department of Clinical Biochemistry, KU, at Gandhi Bhawan, University of Kashmir, on Thursday.

The camp was in tune with the series of camps organised by the Directorate so far to create awareness among the masses.

Noted endocrinologist Dr Mohammad Ashraf Ganie and Dr Sobiya besides other doctors from SKIMS, Srinagar, and SMHS, Srinagar, attended patients and offered free consultations/ investigations for various metabolic disorders like diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, dyslipidemia and PCOS.

The camp also provided free medicines and diagnostic testing like USG, blood glucose, thyroid, etc, for patients.
