CM condoles soldier’s death

DEHRADUN:Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Friday condoled the death of a soldier who was killed in an attack by Naga rebels at Jakhama in Nagaland.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Friday condoled the death of a soldier who was killed in an attack by Naga rebels at Jakhama in Nagaland.

Pargai (22), a soldier of the 4 Kumaon Regiment, hailed from Bithoria, near Haldwani, in Nainital district. 

According to sources, he was returning from a night patrol in Nagaland when they were attacked by insurgents. A bullet hit Pargain in the chest, leading to his death.

 In a statement issued here, Rawat prayed for the peace of the departed soul and strength to the family to bear this loss.

 He said the people of Uttarakhand were with the family of the martyr in this hour of grief. He promised all help to his family. — PTI
