Cultural centre to come up in Mussoorie

MUSSOORIE: A three-day painting workshop was held at Tullamore Hotel, under the aegis of Abhivyakti Kala Evam Kalyan Samiti, here today.

A three-day painting workshop was held at Tullamore Hotel, under the aegis of Abhivyakti Kala Evam Kalyan Samiti, here today.

Dr Veena Pani Bhatt, Director of the Cultural Department, inaugurated the workshop.

She said a cultural centre was being constructed to promote fine arts in the state. The process of creating a folk art museum was in progress to conserve the traditions and cultures of the state. The museum would consist of an outdoor theater gallery for exhibitions. Paintings made by the artists in the competition would be placed during the exhibition in the art gallery once it was completed, she said.
