New Delhi, April 20
On a day when Virbhadra Singh appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and was questioned in connection with a money laundering case registered against him and others, Governor Acharya Devvrat met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and discussed with him situation prevailing in the election bound state.
It is learnt from sources in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) that the Governor apprised the Home Minister about political situation in the hill state, where the Assembly elections are due later this year.
The Governor also met Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju and discussed with him issues related to the state, particularly development activities initiated along the international border, MHA sources added.Sources in the ED said it not only recorded the CM’s statement but also confronted him with some documents it had seized as part of its investigation into the alleged money laundering case. — TNS
