Chandigarh, April 24

Thousands of MBBS aspirants from the tricity appeared for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) entrance exam held here today.

The exam is conducted in two stages for as many as 264 MBBS seats in three medical colleges affiliated to the university, including Army Medical College, New Delhi.

City-based physics expert Kunal Singh said, “Comparatively, less number of students appeared for the entrance exam.

Students said the exam helped them check their readiness for the AIPMT exam scheduled to be held on May 1.”

This year, the question paper received mixed reactions from students.

Many questions were drawn from the NCERT books, which was expected as regional or state-based universities/colleges ask questions from their regional textbooks.

Meanwhile, students found the chemistry section quite easy. The physics section, they stated, was lengthy and calculative followed by some easy questions.

One question was declared void by the authorities during the examination.
