Miscreants posing as CID officials take away old notes from passengers

REWARI: A group of miscreants took away old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 from two persons by posing as CID officials near Dhaaruhera town on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway in the district last night.

A group of miscreants took away old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 from two persons by posing as CID officials near Dhaaruhera town on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway in the district last night.

The incident took place when the persons were taking the currency in a bag to Bhilwara in Rajasthan from Delhi in a private bus.

The miscreants got the bus stopped near Dhaaruhera and carried out checking operation by impersonating as CID officials.

They fled the spot in a car after taking the currency. The currency belonged to a Delhi-based trader, said sources. The police registered a case and started investigations.
