Jaspal Bhatti’s Nonsense Club today stepped into the political scene by announcing “special tuitions” for the Punjab Assembly elections, scheduled for 2017. Inaugurating the coaching centre, Savita Bhatti, a member of the club, said these classes were the need of the hour.

“Every day, there is a new turn of events. One day a leader is one party, the next day in another party and on the third day in yet another party. One day you see him criticise one leader while at another time you find him standing next to that leader calling him the ‘saviour of Punjab’. The voter is highly confused,” she said. Keeping this chaos in mind, the Nonsense Club will have batches of voters to give them daily updates on which leader is currently in which party.

Vinod Sharma, one of the founder members of the club, said, “Bahut rush hai ji. Saare batches full jaa rahein hain kyunki logon ko kuch samajh nahi aa raha (there is a heavy rush. All batches are full as people are unable to understand what’s going on).”

Keeping in mind the “deteriorating mental health” of the people, the Nonsense Club will also give 250 gm of almonds to every student.

She said many animal scientists had contacted them regarding the “colour-changing tactics” of the leaders.

The club will also help politicians. The leaders will be taught to play “snakes and ladders” and “ludo” where they will learn how to identify people who can bite them or help them climb higher in the current political scenario.
