Three CCTV cameras that the police had gotten fixed on 15-ft high  poles at the city bypass crossings last year have been stolen.  The theft comes after the Abohar police launched a drive to  nab a bikers’gang accused of snatching gold chains and purses, besides indulging in other crimes.

The in charges of all the local police stations had recently been reshuffled as people sought to convey they had lost faith in the police.

Even after the reshuffling, triple-riding bikers, some without number plates on their vehicles, could be seen moving in streets and markets not only in the old walled city but in Nai Abadi also.
