Senior AAP leader HS Phoolka, who won from Dakha constituency after defeating SAD leader Manpreet Singh Ayali, while congratulating Congress on its win, urged Capt Amarinder Singh to put Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia in jail.

“The Capt promised during the elections that soon after forming the government, he will put all leaders responsible for patronising drug mafia in jail and now, it is to be seen whether Capt dares to put Majithia, who destroyed the youth by dragging them into the well of drugs, behind the bars. If the Capt forgets about his promise, AAP will keep on reminding him,” Phoolka said, while celebrating his victory with supporters outside the counting centre in PAU.

He also asked Amarinder to clear when the unemployed youth of Punjab would get government jobs.

On failing to form a government, Phoolka said though AAP could not form the government, despite full expectations, the party still won in many ways. “We still managed many seats with our ideals and principals and turned out to be the second-largest opposition party in Punjab. — Nikhil Bharadwaj
