Stay away from taking drugs: Kullu CJM advises youth

KULLU: The Kullu Sub-divisional Legal Services Authority organised a drug awareness camp at Government Post Graduate Degree College at Dhalpur here today.

The Kullu Sub-divisional Legal Services Authority organised a drug awareness camp at Government Post Graduate Degree College at Dhalpur here today.

Kullu Chief Judicial Magistrate and Kullu Sub-divisional Legal Services Authority Chairman Naresh Kumar Thakur presided over the camp. He said drug abuse and drug peddling were grave offences. He said the youths were falling prey to the trap of drug abuse and all sections of society should come forward to eradicate this menace.

The CJM said drug abuse was a social evil and the younger generation could contribute significantly towards its elimination. He urged the students to stay away from taking drug.

He spoke on various laws made against drug trafficking and abuse. Advocate Gaurav Sood apprised the students of the side-effects caused by drugs and various laws to prevent drug abuse. College Principal Nand Lal Sharma thanked the authorities of Kullu Sub-divisional Legal Services Authority for organising the camp.
