Dehradun, June 27

It has been   one year since the GST was implemented in Uttarakhand, but businessmen are still facing problems of server and unavailability of GST-R2 form.

The government has been trying to address these issues. Businessmen claim that there has been some improvement in the recent past, but the problem is persisting.

“During the filing of the GST,  the server  crashes and this has been a nagging problem ever since the new system was introduced. As a result, the last date for filing is being extended every month,” said Anshu  Chandana, a chartered accountant.

The unavailability of GST R-2 form is also creating problems as it is  difficult to upload.

Further,  the e-way bill that tracks the movement of goods worth over Rs 50,000 is also a problem for transporters. Several cases have come to fore where an error in the e-way bill is passed on to the transporter and he is penalised for it.  However, Piyush Kumar, Additional Commissioner, Income Tax Department, said the new system was facing teething problems. “With the passage of time, these problems too will go away,” he said.
