Two women held in abetment to suicide case

Hamirpur, October 25

The police yesterday arrested a woman and her mother in connection with the suicide of soldier Sanjeev Kumar on October 19. The women had applied for bail, but their plea was turned down. They were produced in a local court, which sent them to two-day police custody. The police said the deceased had left a suicide note stating that he had taken the extreme step following an altercation with his wife.

SP Ajay Bodh said the matter was being probed and that they would try to get the custody of the accused extended.
