Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu today termed the alliance between the Loktantra Suraksha Party (LSP) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) as “opportunistic” and said it would not last long.
“The tie-up will meet the same fate as that of the INLD-BSP alliance after the defeat in the Jind byelection,” he told The Tribune on the sidelines of the foundation laying ceremony of the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University of Health Sciences in the district’s Kutail village.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the university from Kurukshetra. The event was screened live at a rally in Kutail village organised by Gharaunda MLA Harvinder Kalyan.
On the entry of Priyanka Gandhi into active politics, he said it would have no impact and the BJP would form the government at the Centre as well as in Haryana.
In his address to the gathering, Capt Abhimanyu highlighted the contribution of Pandit Deen Dayal and praised Khattar government’s initiatives “Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek” and “sabka sath, sabka vikas”.
Kalyan thanked PM Modi and Khattar for the university in his constituency. “The university will pave the way for advances in medical science,” he said.
