Kaithal: Siya Ram (31), a farmer from Kichana village in the district, has reportedly died of swine flu in a Chandigarh hospital. On getting the information about the farmer's death, a team of the Health Department visited his village and gave Tamiflu tablets to those who were in contact with him. Kichana village sarpanch Parveen Kichana alleged that the Health Department was not taking effective steps to check the spread of the disease. OC
