Ambala, April 22

Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) state chief Ashok Arora on Monday said there was nothing wrong in approaching the Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda to seek its support in the elections.

He was accompanying Ambala candidate Rampal Balmiki, who filed his nomination at the DC office. They came face to face with former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who was accompanying Congress candidate Kumari Selja. Arora introduced the INLD candidate to Hooda.

“The INLD will approach every single voter of the state and has no hostility towards anyone. We will approach every single house and have no objection in going to the dera,” said Arora.

Asked about damage to the party due to the split, he said “Even if a single worker leaves, it is a loss for the party. The INLD has faced such situations in the past. Workers will work with more enthusiasm.”

“No party will get a full majority and regional parties will play an important role in forming the next government. We will support the party which talks about implementing Swaminathan report, providing jobs, ensuring adequate crop prices and improving the law and order situation,” he added.

“The BJP has been creating an atmosphere of fear instead of telling its achievements. The governments in the state and Centre have failed to fulfil promises. The law and order situation in the state has deteriorated. The state has seen casualties during dera violence and Jat quota stir,” he claimed.
