PANIPAT: The CIA-1 unit of the district police arrested three persons allegedly for firing at Shubham, son of JJP’s city president Sohan Lal Bathla, in Model Town.

Panipat, August 25

The CIA-1 unit of the district police arrested three persons allegedly for firing at Shubham, son of JJP’s city president Sohan Lal Bathla, in Model Town.

They were nabbed from near the rubber plant on refinery road late on Saturday. The police produced them in court on Sunday. The court sent two of the accused on four-day police remand while one has been sent to judicial custody.

Inspector Sandeep Kumar, in-charge, CIA-1, said the firing incident was of Friday midnight. The accused have been identified as Akash Maini of Model Town, Rakesh of Kushan of Jind district presently living in Shastri colony here and Mustakin of Shastri colony.

The Model Town police have registered a case under Section 307, 323, 506, 34 and Section 25, 54, 59 of the IPC against the accused.

Inspector Sandeep said Akash shot at Shubham from his father’s licensed pistol.
