KURUKSHETRA: An Indian journalist, charged with smuggling people after he helped a “fake media contingent” of eight Indians arrive in Brisbane to cover the Commonwealth Games, is reportedly working with a Hindi newspaper published from Sirsa.



Kurukshetra: An Indian journalist, charged with smuggling people after he helped a “fake media contingent” of eight Indians arrive in Brisbane to cover the Commonwealth Games, is reportedly working with a Hindi newspaper published from Sirsa. The journalist, Rakesh Kumar Sharma (46), was posted in Chandigarh. He is a native of Kurukshetra. His mother, Shakuntala Sharma, is a member of the BJP. Rakesh’s wife, Priyanka Sharma, feigned ignorance about the circumstance leading to her husband’s detention. TNS
