BJP state in-charge Tirath Singh Rawat today said the party’s key focus in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls was to enhance its voter percentage. He was addressing media persons here today during his maiden visit to the district.

He termed the tenure of the Narendra Modi government as exemplary and said the NDA would again form the government at the Centre. He said the party would repeat the 2014 performance in the state by romping home all four seats.

Tirath said winnability would be the main criteria of ticket distribution for the parliamentary elections. He said the BJP had secured 53 per cent votes in 2014 Lok Sabha elections and their emphasis was on enhancing this percentage. Panna pramukhs had been entrusted this responsibility and he added that he would tour the state to mobilise the party cadres ahead of the lok sabha polls.

He elaborated on various Central schemes which, he said, had benefitted the common man. Development activities undertaken by the Modi government in the last five years would be their main poll plank as it had ushered in an era of development.
