Jawali police constable dies in road mishap

Satish Kumar (32) of Palora village in Jawali was injured seriously and succumbed to injuries when his Maruti car hit a tree alongside a road near Samlana in Jawali last evening.
Locals who assembled on the spot rushed him to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The deceased was a police constable and posted at the Rehan police check post under the Nurpur police station. Vir Bahadur Singh, DSP, Jawali, who examined the accident spot, said a case under Sections 279, 337 and 304 (A) of the IPC has been registered. The body of the accident victim was handed over to the family after the postmortem examination on Friday.
