Man swept away in Jawali

NURPUR: Tilak Raj (31), a resident of Busakbara village in Jawali, was washed away inthe local Nahar rivulet when he was crossing it on Monday morning.

Tilak Raj (31), a resident of Busakbara village in Jawali, was washed away inthe local Nahar rivulet when he was crossing it on Monday morning. The deceased was a labourer and was going to his work as was his daily routine. A boy noticed him slip into the rivulet immediately intimated pradhan of local gram panchayat who further informed the SDM, Jawali.

The body of the deceased could be fished out even after around six hour’s search conducted by the NDRF team, Nurpur. SDM Jawali Arun Sharma said that after receiving information of drowning he requisitioned NDRF team which reached within half an hour on the spot. The body was finally retrieved and sent to the civil hospital. — OC
