Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association headed by BJP candidate Anurag Thakur encouraged non-Himachali players in cricket and ignored players from Himachal Pradesh. This was stated by Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, former HPCC president here today.

Sukhu said that Anurag Thakur should tell people why he was sacked from the post of president of the BCCI and why he submitted a false affidavit in the Supreme Court of India. He said that Anurag misled people by making false promises.

He said that it was wrong that Anurag tried to bring rail link to Hamirpur. He tried to delay the start of medical college at Hamirpur. Sukhu said that the Nadaun –Sujanpur – Palampur rail link was announced during the UPA government tenure by the then Railway Minister Pawan Bansal with budget sanction. AIIMS and medical college at Bilaspur and Hamirpur were announced by the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He said that BJP leaders were trying to mislead people by projecting false propaganda.

Former BJP chief said instead of bringing development to the constituency, Anurag Thakur and other BJP leaders befooled people. The days of politics of lies were over and people had made up their mind to oust Anurag, he added.
