Security forces on Sunday busted a militant hideout in Kupwara district.



Srinagar, April 22

Security forces on Sunday busted a militant hideout in Kupwara district.

The hideout was busted when the security forces launced a cordon and search operation at the Watsar forest area in Handwara.

“Based on a specific input, the Handwara police along with the 21 Rashtriya Rifles and the 92 Battalion of the CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the general area of Watsar. During searches, an old hideout of militants was busted and a huge quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered,” a police spokesman said. A case has been registered. —TNS
