MMU: The chief patron of the J&K National Panthers Party Bhim Singh today wrote a letter to the President of India, seeking the release of all prisoners detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA), arguing that the PSA had ceased to operate and has lost its constitutional validity after the revocation of Article 35A.

The chief patron of the J&K National Panthers Party Bhim Singh today wrote a letter to the President of India, seeking the release of all prisoners detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA), arguing that the PSA had ceased to operate and has lost its constitutional validity after the revocation of Article 35A.

His letter followed after the authorities decided to book the 83-year-old National Conference president and three-time former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah under the PSA. — TNS
