On Army Day, soldiers pay tributes to martyrs

The Army on Tuesday celebrated Army Day in Jammu by paying tribute to the martyrs.

Lt Gen JS Nain, General Officer Commanding, Rising Star Corps, accompanied by Maj Gen Sharad Kapur, General Officer Commanding, Tiger Division, paid tributes to the martyrs at the Tiger War Memorial in Jammu to commemorate 71st Army Day.

The celebrations were attended by serving and retired officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and jawans to pay homage to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the country. The ceremony revived the proud memories of the supreme sacrifice of the gallant soldiers and the indomitable spirit of the Army’s leadership and synergy. — TNS
