Srinagar: A 25-year-old youth was shot by gunmen at Harwan village in Sopore on Wednesday.



Srinagar: A 25-year-old youth was shot by gunmen at Harwan village in Sopore on Wednesday. Harmeet Singh, Superintendent of Police, Sopore, said unidentified gunmen killed Arif Maqbool Sofi, who worked as a medical representative. The police officer said the gunmen were “most probably militants”. “We have registered a case and initiated a probe,” he said. Immediately after the incident, security forces launched a manhunt to track the assailants. TNS
