Cong men burn effigies of PM

JALANDHAR:Members of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Commitee marked the Dasehra celebrations here at Kapurthala Chowk by burning the effigies of Modi government.

Members of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Commitee marked the Dasehra celebrations here at Kapurthala Chowk by burning the effigies of Modi government. Himanshu Pathak, vice president, Punjab Pradesh Congress Commitee, terming the festival heralding the triumph of good over evil, lashed out at the Modi govt over rafale deal, PNB bank loot, Lalit gate loot etc, saying that the Prime Minister has taken the country 50 years back.

He said: “ The so-called policies of the Modi government are responsible for the sky-rocketing prices of essential items.”

Phagwara: Activists of  Congress, belonging to Block Congress Committee ( Rural), Phagwara, led by its president Daljit Rajhold, celebrated Dasehra by holding demonstration against the BJP-led Union Government. They burnt the effigy of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Bypass Road, Phagwara,today. They were protesting against the increasing prices of essential commodities, including petrol and diesel.
