Mass transfers in MC, Trust

Even as the Local Bodies Department has reinstated most of the suspended officials of the Town Planning Department of the Municipal Corporation, it has ordered mass transfers in corporations, committees and Improvement Trusts.

A 23-page transfer order was issued today where in Head Draftsmen, Building Inspector, ATPs, Assistant Engineers, JEs, clerks and even superintendents of all cities and towns have been interchanged.

Department officials say that the transfers were largely owing to poll as the officers were not allowed to function in their hometown or places where they have served for over three years. — TNS
