Aunt, paramour booked for kidnapping minor girl

Mahilpur (Hoshiarpir), April 13

The Mahilpur police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two persons and found a two-and-a-half-year-old girl who was reportedly kidnapped by the duo three days ago. The suspects include a woman, who is the sister of the girl’s father. She and her paramour were arrested by the police.

This evening at police station Mahilpur, DSP Garhshankar Satish Kumar, while addressing a press conference, told that on Friday, Manga, a resident of the Saila Khurd village, in a statement given to the police, said his sister Rajni and her paramour Badal had abducted his daughter Muskan aka Ruksana. On the complaint of Manga, Mahilpur police had filed a case of abduction against Rajni and Badal.

On the basis of a tip-off, the police arrested Rajni and Badal from Nalagarh in Himachal Pradesh and found Muskan alias Ruksana. The DSP said it was found that Rajni had an extramarital relation with Badal. Her parental family was opposed to it, so both of them planned the abduction to teach them a lesson. The police handed over the Muskan aka Rukasana to her parents today. — OC
