Phagwara, February 10
The purse of US-based NRI Paramjit Kaur was found stolen in the market here on Saturday.
The purse contained $550, 400 Canadian Dollars, a PR card, an ATM card and a credit card.
She came to Phagwara from her Narur village for shopping.
In another incident, the purse of another woman Meena Rani of Hardasspur village was stolen during a wedding at a local marriage palace on Saturday night.
The purse contained Rs 15,000 in cash and a mobile phone.
Cases have been registered in both incidents.
