Trade unions, farmers up in arms

JALANDHAR: Scores of members under the banner of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions, Kul Hind Kisan Sabha and Kul Hind Khet Mazdoor Union held a protest against the government for not eradicating ills in society such as inflation, unemployment, corruption and other burning issues.

Scores of members under the banner of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions, Kul Hind Kisan Sabha and Kul Hind Khet Mazdoor Union held a protest against the government for not eradicating ills in society such as inflation, unemployment, corruption and other burning issues.

The members, who were wearing red bands, came to hold the protest to get themselves arrested. Later, the protesters marched towards the District Administrative Complex (DAC) here.

They said it was sad that the government was not paying heed to demands of workers and farmers. — TNS
