Trader shoots self, dies

JALANDHAR: A trader and resident of Wariana village, situated on Kapurthala Road, committed suicide late last night by shooting himself.

Jalandhar, September 21

A trader and resident of Wariana village, situated on Kapurthala Road, committed suicide late last night by shooting himself.

Children of the deceased, Jatinder Singh (45), were reportedly sleeping in another room when he shot himself.

The victim’s wife was reportedly away to Gujarat when the incident occurred to meet her ailing father.

The Maqsudan police said Jatinder was a also a landlord and was making good money through rent.

Meanwhile, police officials are yet to ascertain the reason behind his extreme step.
