Annual function at UPSC

Ludhiana: The USPC Jain Public School, Chandigarh Road, celebrated its annual day function. A total of 870 students participated in the function. Vice-Principal Vinny Malhotra presented the school’s annual report, which was followed by the prize distribution ceremony, wherein 367 students were felicitated with the prizes in academics and various co-curricular activities. The cultural extravaganza was  entitled as –‘Ek Naya Aagaaz’ as it  was an amalgamation of various hues- glittering bonanza of skits, dance depicting  Jallianwala Bagh massacre, youth empowerment, women empowerment, soldier’s life, mime and patriotic dance by elementary school.   

Manav Rachna Int’l School 

Manav Rachna International School unveiled its colorful and glorious occasion “Exuberance” . A display of talent was witnessed through the dance numbers, “whimsical world of fantasy” by the tiny tots. Principal Rupali Saini said the model of education at Manav Rachna International School was much wider, more inclusive and much beyond the essential frame work of ‘learning by earning’. A glittering bonanza of songs, dances, choreography and plays were performed. Folk and fusion dances were performed followed by the presentation of current issues such as female infanticide and women empowerment, importance of skill- based education, clean and green India.   

‘Sacred vibes’

Sacred Heart Convent School, Bhattian, celebrated its annual function. The function commenced with the lighting of the lamp. The theme of the day was celebration of relationships, “ sacred vibes’’. Every item was based on the theme of relationships.

Social media workshop

A workshop on social media and its effects was conducted at Ryan school, Dugri, for the students of classes VI-X. The workshop was conducted by Manjeet Singh Karbanda, a counsellor. During the workshop, students were guided regarding the effects of social media and how to use it responsibly. Students were also informed how social media tends to distract them from their studies which could result in stress and depression. They were suggested to set goals for their future and to work hard. Students were also motivated to devote their precious time to studies and nurturing their inner talents.TNS
