Ludhiana: The department of computer science at Khalsa College for Women organised ‘E-Vidya: A Computer Literacy Programme’ for girls under the unique “3H-Head-Heart-Hands” programme of the college.



Ludhiana: The department of computer science at Khalsa College for Women organised ‘E-Vidya: A Computer Literacy Programme’ for girls under the unique “3H-Head-Heart-Hands” programme of the college. The skill development workshop, which commenced on June 1, concluded on Friday. Thirtyone students were enrolled for the training, which was provided for free. With an objective to spread computer literacy, the programme aimed at empowering girls by making them learn basic computer skills. The training was imparted by the students of the department under the guidance of the faculty of department of computer science. The idea was to make students embrace the values of serving the society in the early years of their life and foster their identities as engaged citizens. Principal Mukti Gill distributed certificates to the participants. 

Workshop on skills  

The department of computer science of Khalsa College for Women organised a 10-day skill development workshop on “Designing using Adobe Photoshop”. The course commenced on June 4 and concluded on Friday. It was organised as part of “Project Sashakt” of “Triadic Development Programme” of the college. The workshop was designed to help students acquire graphic designing skills to gain proficiency in applying their creativity to communicate ideas and concepts in both print and
