Sub-Junior Punjab Judo Championship Day 1: Hosts Ludhiana bag 4 medals

Ludhiana: Hosts Ludhiana began their campaign on a positive note by clinching four medals, including one gold, on the opening day of the 39th Sub-Junior Punjab State Judo Championship at the Multipurpose Indoor Hall of Guru Nanak Stadium here on Monday.

Ludhiana: Hosts Ludhiana began their campaign on a positive note by clinching four medals, including one gold, on the opening day of the 39th Sub-Junior Punjab State Judo Championship at the Multipurpose Indoor Hall of Guru Nanak Stadium here on Monday. A large number of participants (girls and boys) from all over the state are taking parting in this championship being organised by the Ludhiana District Judo Association.

Boys: below 40-kg (2005-06): 1st Prince of Ludhiana, 2nd Ankit Sharma of Jalandhar, 3rd Surinder of Hoshiarpur and 4th Rahul of Hoshiarpur

Boys: below 45-kg (2005-06): 1st Nikhil of Gurdaspur, 2nd Om Rattan of Hoshiarpur, 3rd Umesh of Roop Nagar and 4th Rajiv of Ludhiana

Girls: below 36-kg (2007-08): 1st Parnajpreet of Jalandhar, 2nd Nimrata of Ludhiana, 3rd Navpreet Kaur of Taran Tarn and 4th Dolly of Muktsar

Girls: plus 44-kg (2005-06): 1st Jasmeet Kaur, 2nd Ishroop of Ludhiana, 3rd Supreet of Hoshiarpur and 4th Deep Robin of Bathinda— OC
