Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi has urged the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to get RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s bail cancelled as he has “continuously been violating” the bail conditions.
Lalu Prasad, who was convicted and sentenced in four out of the six cases of multiple-crore fodder scam, was granted bail for medical treatment on condition that he would not be involved in any political activities.
Modi sought Lalu’s bail cancellation from the CBI a day after the three TDP MPs met Lalu Prasad at his residence seeking his party’s support for the party’s no-confidence motion move against the Central government.
Modi said: “Lalu has already been denied the right to contest election after being convicted in the fodder scam. The judge has already commented that Lalu would not be granted bail for doing politics.”
