Chauhan takes oath as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court

HYDERABAD: Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ESL Narasimhan administered oath of office to Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, Judge of Telangana High Court as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court in a solemn function held at 10.30 AM in Durbar Hall, at Raj Bhavan on Saturday.

Hyderabad, June 22

Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ESL Narasimhan administered oath of office to Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, Judge of Telangana High Court as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court in a solemn function held at 10.30 am in Durbar Hall, at Raj Bhavan on Saturday.

The programme commenced with the Telangana Chief Secretary SK Joshi initiating the programme, Registrar General of Telangana High Court A Venkateswar Reddy reading out the warrant of the President of India, appointing Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court. 

Governor Narasimhan, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao congratulated Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan by presentation of bouquets.

The programme was attended by Governor Vimala Narasimhan, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Speaker of Telangana Legislative Assembly, Home Minister Md. Mahmood Ali, Medical & Health Minister Eatala Rajender, Excise Minister V. Srinivas Goud, Transport, Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Minister for Endowments Indrakaran Reddy, DGP Mahender Reddy, Judges of High Courts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, several other officials and non-officials.
