New Delhi, January 24

As the dense fog continues to engulf northern India due to the fall in temperature, several trains and flight services were affected on Tuesday morning.

As many as 25 trains are running late, nine are rescheduled and one is cancelled due to the prevailing fog conditions in the national capital.

Flight services were also affected with 11 international and nine domestic flights getting delayed and one cancelled.

The continuous dominance of fog has been disrupting train and flight services since more than a month.

The Meteorological (MeT) department earlier said the temperature in the national capital would hover between five and seven degrees for the next two to three days.

The temperatures in the national capital have plunged below normal levels in the past few months.

According to the MeT officials, the reason for the change has been the north-northwesterly winds that have been transporting cold from the north. ANI
