Former BSP leader Swami Prasad Maurya on BJP’s third list

NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday announced its third list of candidates for next month’s assembly elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday announced its third list of candidates for next month’s assembly elections.

Swami Prasad Maurya, formerly Bahajan Samaj Party’s general secretary before he joined the BJP in August 2016, will fight the elections from Padrauna in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar district.

Other former BSP leaders to find themselves in the third list are Fateh Bahadur, RK Chaudhary and Dara Singh Chauhan.

The latest announcement brings BJP’s total number candidates for the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly to 370.
