Muktsar, December 15
A local court today awarded five-year imprisonment, along with fine, to Student Organisation of India (SOI) Muktsar district president Lovepreet Singh ‘Lappi Ennakhera’ and six others in a case of attempt to murder.
The court had sent them to judicial custody three days ago. The quantum of sentence was announced today.
Meanwhile, seven persons of the other faction and residents of Malout, who were also booked in the same case, were also awarded four-year imprisonment along with some fine.
The brawl between these two factions had taken place in 2014 and a case was registered in this regard at City Malout police station.
