Minister rejects DPI order, calls it arbitrary

CHANDIGARH: Education Minister Om Prakash Soni on Saturday rejected an order of the DPI regarding the transfers of teachers.



Chandigarh, May 26

Education Minister Om Prakash Soni on Saturday rejected an order of the DPI regarding the transfers of teachers. He alleged that the DPI had issued transfer orders arbitrarily and rules had been ignored. He said no one had the right to take arbitrary decisions in the Education Department and transfers or any other type of administrative work would be done according to rules. The minister has also ordered a probe. — TNS
