Show details of donation: Randhawa to Majithia

Punjab Cabinet minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today again challenged Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia to show the details of donation in public domain given to farmer Budh Singh, if the Akali leader claims that the money was from a lawful source, failing which he should face ED investigation.

Randhawa demanded the investigation from the ED as Majithia is not part of the government and failed to disclose the source from which he had given the money.

“It is also significant to bring in public domain that why Majithia gave Rs 3.86 lakh to the farmer when as per the records the loan amount was only Rs 1.76 lakh,” said Randhawa.

On the issue of resignation, as demand by Majithia, the minister said Majithia must remember those days when he was facing serious allegations of drug smuggling but the Badal clan had gone hammer and tongs to save him and he never offered to resign. — TNS
